Funky Art House offers a range of enchanting children's craft workshops for festivals blending art, storytelling and magical quests- a perfect combination to keep children engaged and full of imagination.
Below is a list of some of our themed workshops that we feel would work wonderfully at any Festival. We are very adaptable at coming up with new, inspiring and unique ideas, so do let us know if there are any particular themes not listed that you would be interested in.
We can provide a self sufficient craft area to keep all the kids entertained.
Happy Ever After...
Make your own beautiful tiara or regal crown all ready to attend the ball at King Arty’s Castle. Help return the crown jewels that have been scattered across the kingdom by the wicked witch and learn the counter-spell to turn the frog back into a prince.
Fairies & Pixies ...
Transform yourself into a sparkling fairy or pixie by making your own costume & begin your enchanting quest. Follow clues to find hidden magic charms, leap into the fairy ring & learn a special poem to summon the fairies. May all your magical wishes come true!
Pirate crusade!
Make your own pirate or mermaid inspired outfit & get involved in a treasure hunt with secret messages to decode. Fit the pieces of the treasure map back together to find the forgetful pirates missing treasure chest. Yo ho ho my hearties, it’s a pirates life for me!
Wonderland Crafts
Create a unique animal mask, go on a search for the hidden white rabbits & help Alice make a potion to turn the mad hatters tea cup from tiny to big. Don’t be late for a very important date!
Format:
Workshops run on a continuous basis throughout the day for 5 hours and work best as a drop in format at festivals. Guests are free to join in with the crafts at anytime during the day. Magical quests run twice a day. All completed projects can be taken home as a great memory of the day.
Set up:
We provide all furniture, materials, equipment and signage for the workshops and a small 2m x 2m mini circus tent as a base for the story telling and quests. Workshops are run by 2 leaders in fancy dress to fit the workshop theme. All staff have many years of experience running arts activities with children and are all CRB checked. We also have full public liability insurance.
We are open to suggestions as to how the workshops would work at the festival. Previously we have used a space within a larger marquee to run our crafts activities. Alternatively we could provide a tent of our own for an extra charge.
