Full Day Adult Craft Workshops

Our bi-monthly adult craft workshops explore differect crafts all with the intension of making something practical for the home. Often using recycled materials and upcycling to make fabulous and unique items.

A relaxing day with the chance to learn new skills and make something entirely one of a kind for your home. Afternoon tea served as part of the course. All workshops are run from our studio at Bath Artists Studio. All abilities welcome.

 

Februrary Sat 4th 2012 - Papercrafts. Begin by exploring marbelling to make some beautiful papers. Then discover the craft of decoupage. Please bring along images to use in your decoupage to add a personal touch.

April Sat 21st 2012 - Textiles.
Draft Excluder workshop with Funky Art House. Draft Excluders can reduce heat loss from the home and look great! Explore embroidery, applique, pattern cutting and upcycling tecniques to produce a unique and practical item for your home.

June Sat 9th 2012 - Mosaics.Learn to make coasters from recycled china, glass and found objects and then move on to design and produce your own unique mosaic mirror or photoframe. You may want to bring along some objects to make it more personal to you - broken necklaces, shells, china etc.

Tutor: Jo Milford. Jo is a qualified Art Teacher. She is a practicing artist with a BA(hons) in 3D Design - Glass with ceramics & sculpture and has exhibited her work in the U.K and internationally. She also holds a City & Guilds Adult Teaching Qualification.

Jo says  'we want  to help you put your own personal touches to into your homes by teaching some traditional crafts with a contemporary feel. We want you to be proud of the end result having created something yourself seeing it through from start to finish.'

Lunch: There is a cafe located fairly close to the workshops for lunch or it's a 10min walk to the town centre where you will find a variety of places to eat. Alternatively you may wish to bring a packed lunch. Afternoon tea served as part of the course.

Parking: There is free parking all around the Royal Victoria Park but it can sometimes be tricky to get a space! Alternatively Charlotte Street carpark is approx 10 min walking distance from the studios.
