Bristol Teen Summer Art Club 2016: Ages 11-16

15th August & 19th August 2016; 9.30am – 3.30pm, early and late pick up available. Ages 11+, £38 per day including all materials or £70 for both days (£6 discount) @  Horfield Quaker Meeting House, 300 Gloucester Road, Horfield, Bristol, BS7 8EW.

teenager, art, craft, workshop, holiday, club, Bath, summerKeep the teenagers entertained over the holidays by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists studio centre- mosaic, textiles, felting, drawing, print, clay, painting and more. A great way to spend the holidays having fun, making new friends & learning new creative skills. All materials included and all abilities welcome. Please bring a packed lunch. Teen Art Club covers more advanced artistic techniques and projects than the Children’s Art Club.

Bristol Teen Summer Art Club: Ages 11-16
Monday 15th Aug, 
Clay Creations, Print & Paper Crafts: £38 Learn to create a clay slab pot. Decorate a box frame using paper craft skills and learn various print techniques (monoprint, block print and collograph) to create a piece of art to be displayed in the frame.

Friday 19th August, Mosaic & Drawing/Painting: £38 Design and create a personalized mosaic using ceramic tiles and grout. Learn a variety of drawing & painting techniques- how to draw from real life, tips on proportion and perspective, adding tone and shading and how to paint using acrylics. Use these skills to create a final piece of art on canvas.

Two day Art Workshop, 15th & 19th Aug: £70 (£6 discount) Children attending all five days will receive a sketchbook to document their creations and also get the chance to work towards a showcase of their work at the end of the week.

Address: Workshops are held at Horfield Quaker Meeting House, 300 Gloucester Road, Horfield BS7 8EW. Horfield Quaker Meeting House is located on the west side of A38 Gloucester Road between Radnor Road and Thornleigh Road and is opposite The Co-operative supermarket. Parking: Unfortunately there is no parking on site, however there is unlimited parking on the adjacent residential side roads. On booking we will provide more information.

Bus Info: The Horfield Quaker meeting house is served by a great bus route. From Bristol City Centre, catch the  71, 73, 75, 76, 78 or 79 bus and ask to be set down at Nevil Road bus stop which is immediately outside the Meeting House. If traveling from the opposite direction (from Filton, Bristol Parkway, Cribs Causway etc) ask to be set down at Ashley Down Road bus stop – The Meeting House is on the opposite side of the road a little further down and is visible from the bus stop.
