Keep the teens entertained on Saturday afternoons by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists’ studio center- drawing, painting, textiles, clay, paper-crafts, print and more. A great way to spend the weekends having fun, making new friends and learning new creative skills. Pupils will learn new artistic techniques, investigate a number of artists and designers work and creative professions and also get the chance to work towards a special gallery showcase of their work. As well as creating some fantastic items to take home pupils will also have a chance to work towards Arts Award- a nationally recognised qualification which challenges them to develop their creativity and record their artistic achievements. Pupils will receive a special Arts Award booklet to document their creations and a certificate on completion of the award. See www.artsaward.org. for more details on Arts Award. Teen Art Club is open to children aged 11+ and runs the whole academic year.
