Bath Children’s Summer Art Club 2019: Ages 7-11
5th August- 9th August 2019; 9.30am – 3.30pm, early and late pick up available. Ages 7-11, £35 per day including all materials or £155 for the whole week (£20 discount) @ Bath Artists’ Studios, BA1 3AJ.
Keep the kids entertained over the holidays by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists’ studio centre- drawing, painting, mosaic, clay, textiles, print and more. A great way to spend the holidays having fun, making new friends & learning new creative skills.
As well as creating some fantastic items to take home there will also be the opportunity to take part in fun group art activities- creating drawings on the floor and walls, BIG art, tiny art, sand art, string art, junk art, outdoor art, mandala art, chalk art, science art, mindful art and more!
All materials included and all abilities welcome. Please bring a packed lunch.
Children’s Summer Art Club 2019: Ages 7 -11
Monday 5th August, £35- Marbling, Embossing & Landscapes. Create marbled paper by floating inks on water. Use marbling and metallic embossing to decorate an art journal. Learn to draw and paint landscapes using perspective, proportion and watercolour techniques. Fully Booked
Tuesday 6th August, £35- Ceramic Painting, Origami & Still Life. Use ceramic paints to decorate a useful ceramic item. Create a still life piece of art using acrylic paint, learn how to make an object look 3D, blending and texture techniques. Create decorations using the Japanese art of paper folding.
Wednesday 7th August, £35- Clay Sculpture, Illustration & Polymer Clay. Learn to draw and paint animals and wildlife and how to turn them in to a character. Move on to create a clay animal sculpture and use polymer clay to create a decoration.
Thursday 8th Aug, £35 - Textiles, Felting & Modern Art. Decorate a useful fabric item using tie dye, buttons, applique and sewing skills. Use soft and colourful merino wool, wet felting and pom poms to create a felt decoration. Use pastels to create a piece of modern art inspired by Kandinsky. Fully Booked
Friday 9th Aug, £35 - Mosaic, Portraits & Print.Take inspiration from the Romans of Bath to create a mosaic mirror using ceramic tiles and grout. Learn techniques to draw, paint and print portraits. All art work created will then be displayed in a showcase at the end of the day.
Full Week Art Club, 5th -9th Aug: £155 (£20 discount) Children attending all five days will receive a sketchbook to document their creations and will also get the chance to work towards a showcase of their work at the end of the week.
