COVID 19 Prevention measures
We have really missed running our classes and seeing everyone but are finally looking forward to resuming classes again. We will be needing to make a few changes to keep everyone safe and to follow government guidelines. The main change will be that we are planning to run most classes from the larger gallery space in the main building of Bath Artists’ Studios. It is a lovely big space and is well ventilated so we will be able to create socially distanced work spaces for everyone. The main procedures can be found below. We will also be following all procedures set out by Bath Artists’ Studios that can be found at the following link: COVID19 prevention at Bath Artsits Studios.
COVID-19 Prevention Procedures:
-Seperate workspaces/desks for each pupil which will be two metres apart from each other.
-Seperate material and equipment packs for each pupil to be provided on the desks. Each pack will be left at least 72 hours before being used by other pupils.
-All areas will be cleaned between groups- desks, tables, handles, toilets etc. -The space will be well ventilated where possible by keeping windows/ doors open.
-Toilets will be used one at a time.
-Following government advice we are now asking our 11+ group to bring a face masks along with them to the class so they can be worn in the communal areas in the studio such as the toilets and sinks.
Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures:
-Please avoid taking public transport to art club where possible.
-Unfortunatly class members are unable to use the Bath Artists’ Studios Car Park. Alternative parking info can be found on the class info above.
-Please stay two metres away from other parents when dropping off or picking up children and have only one parent attend.
-We are also asking parents not to come in to the building. On the first session I will open the double doors of the gallery to greet everyone. The children will then be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided* and to take a seat at one of the work spaces.
-If parents usually pick up from inside the building, it would great if they could now wait outside the gallery, remaining socially distanced from one another. I will then come to the door and call the children up one by one to leave.
*We realise some children may want to use their own sanitiser if they have sensitive skin or eczema etc, feel free to bring this along to use instead.
If a member of art club or tutor becomes ill with COVID 19 symptoms:
-Please do not to enter the studios or send your child to art club if you or a member of your household are displaying any symptoms of the coronavirus or if you have been asked to self isolate by track and trace or other government guidelines. Guidance on this can be found on the government webpage: When to self isolate. -If the tutor or their household starts to display sypmtoms of covid 19, or have been told to self isolate they will be in contact to cancel the class.
-If those showing symptoms test negative, they can return to art club when they recover.
-If they test positive, NHS test and trace will speak directly to those who they have been in contact with to offer advise.
- If an art club member becomes ill while at art club they should be sent home and advised to follow the COVID-19: guidance for households with possible coronavirus (COVID-19) infection guidance. While the child is awaiting collection the government guidlines will be followed to move the child away from the other members of the group and increase cleaning to prevent the potential spread of the virus.
-Funky Art House will have up to date contact information for everyone attending classes so NHS test and trace can speak directly to those that have been in contact to offer advice.
