Bath Teen Summer Art Club 2016: Ages 11-16
8th – 12th August 2016; 9.30am – 3.30pm, early and late pick up available. Ages 11+, £38 per day including all materials or £170 for the whole week (£20 discount) @ Bath Artists’ Studios, Upper Bristol Road, Bath BA1 3AJ.
Keep the teenagers entertained over the holidays by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists studio center- mosaic, textiles, felting, drawing, print, clay, painting and more. A great way to spend the holidays having fun, making new friends & learning new creative skills. All materials included and all abilities welcome. Please bring a packed lunch. Teen Art Club covers more advanced artistic techniques and projects than the Children’s Art Club.
Bath Teen Summer Art Club: Ages 11-16
Monday 8th Aug, Polymer Clay & Ceramic Decoration: £38 Learn the brilliant affects that can be achieved with polymer clay to create clay decorations, magnets, key rings etc. Use decal transfers and ceramic pens to decorate a plate.
Tues 9th Aug, – Drawing and Painting Techniques, Canvas Art: £38. Learn a variety of drawing & painting techniques- how to draw from real life, tips on proportion and perspective, adding tone and shading and how to paint using acrylics & watercolours. Use these skills to create a final piece of art on canvas. Fully Booked
Wednesday 10th Aug – Felting, Sewing & Stenciling: £38 Learn pattern cutting, applique, sewing machine skills and embroidery to create a unique pencil case/ wash bag. Use brightly coloured merino wool, felting and sewing techniques to create a felted badge. Fully Booked
Thursday 11th Aug- Mosaic & Street Art/ Pop Art: £38 Design and create a personalized mosaic using ceramic tiles and grout. Next learn how to design a stencil and create a street art/pop art inspired bag or cushion cover. Fully Booked
Friday 12th Aug- Print & Paper-crafts: £38 Decorate a box frame using paper craft skills. Next learn various print techniques- lino print, mono-print, block print and colograph to create a piece of art to be displayed in the frame. Fully Booked
Full Week Art Club, 8th – 12th Aug: £170 (£20 discount) Children attending all five days will receive a sketchbook to document their creations and also get the chance to work towards a showcase of their work at the end of the week.
