Bath Teen Summer Art Club 2017: Ages 11-16
7th – 11th August; 9.30am – 3.30pm, early and late pick up available
Ages 11-16, £38 per day (£30 Early Bird rate) or £170 for the whole week (£20 discount) (£150 Early Bird, £40 discount) @ Bath Artists’ Studios, BA1 3AJ
Keep the teenagers entertained over the holidays by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists studio centre- mosaic, textiles, felting, drawing, print, clay, painting and more. A great way to spend the holidays having fun, making new friends & learning new creative skills. All materials included and all abilities welcome. Please bring a packed lunch. Teen Art Club covers more advanced artistic techniques and projects than the Children’s Art Club.
Teen Summer Art Club: Ages 11-16
Monday 7th August, £38- Print & Mosaic: Learn lino print, block print and embossing techniques to create a unique sketchbook cover. Learn to create a mosaic piece of art using ceramic tesserae tiles and grout.
Tuesday 8th August, £38- Sketching & Painting: Learn a variety of drawing & painting techniques- how to draw from real life, tips on proportion and perspective, adding tone and shading and how to paint using acrylics. Use these skills to create still life and portrait pieces of art on canvas.
Wednesday 9th August, £38- Textiles: Create a unique fabric book cover using pattern cutting, applique, embroidery and machine sewing skills. Learn tooling techniques to create a leather bookmark/ coaster.
Thursday 10th Aug, £38 - Clay Creations & Illustration: Create a clay candle holder using slab building techniques. Learn to develop illustrations and transfer these to waterslide transfers to decorate a ceramic item. Learn techniques with polymer clay to create a unique and useful item.
Friday 11th Aug, £38 – Felting & Watercolours: Learn the traditional craft of wet felting- using soft merino wool, water and soap to create colourful felt. Decorate with needle felting and embroidery technique to produce a felted piece of art. Learn a range of watercolour techniques to produce still life and landscape paintings inspired by artists William Turner and Georgia O’Keefe.
Full Week Art Club, 8th – 12th Aug: £170 (£20 discount) Children attending all five days will receive a £20 discount and get the chance to document their creations in their own sketchbook/ art portfolio.

Early & Late Pick Up: Early & late pick up can be arranged at a cost of £8 per hour. Please contact us with details to pre book.
