Next term the children will be learning about drawing, print, painting and textiles and using these skills to create a final piece that will be displayed in a real gallery exhibition at Bath Artists’ Studios in June. A great time to join in!

‘Home-Made’ Adult Craft Course- get creative in 2014!
Still looking to start something new in 2014?! ‘Home-Made’ is a unique craft course for adults covering variety of practical crafts. Check out the lovely creations made by the ladies on ‘Home-Made’ last term (see below) including mosaic, fabric and lace accessories, print & paper-crafts. This term we are covering felt and fabric techniques- wet felting, needle felting, applique, stencilling and embroidery. All these skills are being used to create a practical item such as a bag or cushion.

Children will learn lots of new creative skills, work towards a national qualification and have lots of fun along the way! Check out the brilliant creations made last term by the children (see below). Topics included animation, print, ceramics, illustration and christmas decorations. This term we are learning more about textiles and felt and continuing to work towards Arts Award. Come get creative!

The Big Draw @ Bath Artists’ Studios
Oct 19th – 11-4pm
Join us in the Gallery for a one day spectacular event. Journey through time, exploring your past present and future! Add to our family tree and explore the use of three dimensional drawing materials, mark making and mixed media collage. You will have the chance to fully explore our Gallery space, drawing on the floors, walls and suspending your work from the ceiling! You will have the chance to display your work in our Gallery, which will remain open to visitors over the weekend.’

We are running two free taster sessions at open studios so come on down and see what we are all about. We would love to meet you.
Upcycled fabric flower broach workshop for adults from our studio on the Saturday from 2pm-3pm.
For children we are running a carnival mask workshop in the school room on the Saturday from 11am-12pm.

‘Homemade’ – Weekly Adult Craft Course
New Autumn Term dates:- 12 week block of lessons starting 17th or 18th September
A unique course covering a variety of craft techniques and projects each term. During the courses there will be the opportunity to make fabulous and entirely unique crafts. Learn new skills and make new friends along the way in our very relaxed, popular class.
Our ‘Homemade’ course will be Continuing after the Summer break where we will be exploring mosaics and fabric and lace jewellery.

Every other Saturday; 11.00am – 12.30pm; 6 sessions in the autumn term
Keep the kids entertained on Saturday mornings by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists’ studios.
A great way to spend the weekends having fun, making new friends and learning new creative skills.
After School Funky Art Club 7 +@ Bath Artists’ Studios
New for the Autumn term, After School Funky Art Club for ages 7+. Run every Thursday after school 5.30 – 6.30pm.
We have been running our after school programme for around four years from various primary schools in the Bath area. We are excited that now we can offer after school to all children run from our studio space at Bath Artists studios. We will be starting the term with an animation project looking at a model maker who works for Arrdman as our inspiration. Children will have the opportunity to explore lots of areas of art and design and produce some fantastic items to take home. Pupils will also have a chance to work towards Arts Award- a nationally recognised qualification which challenges them to develop their creativity and investigate a number of artists and designers work and creative professions.

12 – 16 Aug; 9.30am – 3.30pm, early and late pick up available
£35 per day or £155 for the whole week (£20 discount)
Keep the kids entertained over the holidays by exploring a variety of arts and crafts in a real artists studio centre. A great way to spend the holidays having fun, making new friends and learning new creative skills. £35 per day, all materials included and all abilities welcome. Juice and snack provided, please bring a packed lunch. Early and late pick up available at a cost of £6 per hour. Open to children aged 7+.Taught at Bath Artists Studios.
